The results of the consumer survey conducted for this study have been analyzed thoroughly to identify the major pain points of the consumers with regards to the existing products, the reasons for switching to smart kitchen products, and their preferred brands and the reasons for the same. The purchasing behavior and mindset of the consumers have been assessed based on age group, gender, income, ethnicity, and region to understand the variations across the different target groups country wide.
The U.S. is among the top adopters of smart kitchen products worldwide, with a wide range of smart appliances and devices available that offer enhanced convenience, efficiency, and connectivity to households in the country. This report provides a deep dive into the consumers of smart kitchen products in the U.S., analyzing them based on demographics, their responsiveness to marketing and premiumization, factors influencing their purchase decisions, and brand awareness.
According to the findings of our survey, respondents with annual household incomes of USD 100,000 or more were most likely to have adopted smart home products and accounted for around 70% of the overall respondents surveyed, however, respondents with annual household incomes of up to USD 50,000 were among the least to have adopted smart home products.
Price plays a crucial role in the purchasing decisions of consumers. According to the survey findings, approximately 21% of the respondents consider pricing to have a very strong influence on their purchasing decision, followed by 33% who consider pricing to have a strong influence.
During the survey, over 50% of consumers cited easy comparison, exclusive online deals & discounts, and competitive price offerings as the key reasons for preferring online channels for smart kitchen product purchases in the U.S.
